A property and vineyard rich in history

Lion Oaks Ranch, home of Carter House Cellars, is located just 35 miles south of the heart of Silicon Valley and on the Eastern side of the Santa Cruz Mountains, just 12 miles from the Monterey Bay. The 378 acre property is host to diverse soils and microclimates. The main structure on the property is a grand Victorian built in 1884. Grapes have been grown on the property since at least the 1950s. With 24 acres planted, plans to grow to more than 40 acres with more than 15 varietals will give member winemakers opportunities to try many styles and varietals in the winemaking process.
